ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Nelson! I’m a super smart and energetic dog who absolutely loves to play fetch—just say the word “ball” and I’m all in, ready to chase and bring it right back to you. Water is my other favorite thing—I love getting sprayed with the hose! I do best in an active home with an experienced owner who can help me channel my energy and intelligence through training and play. A large fenced backyard would be my dream spot to run and chase balls until I’m happily tuckered out. Because I can be unpredictable and shy around strangers, I need a calm, patient family with no kids under 16, and no cats. I’m not suited for busy dog parks or daycare, but I enjoy playing with select dog friends here at FOHA.

Dog selective; enjoy playing with certain dogs after proper introductions.

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
No cats.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
No kids under 16.

I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Fetch and drop it at your feet; additional training needed.

Playing fetch, water/hose time, going for walks with familiar people, large fenced yard.

Unknown people, loud noises like clickers, crowded dog spaces.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
