Hi! Please read my profile closely because I am looking for a very special family and home.
I’ve had a long journey to get to FOHA. I found myself getting here from South Carolina, and numerous stops along the way.
Somewhere, I was bitten by a mosquito and, unlucky me, now I have Heartworm. It is a very treatable disease, and FOHA has started my treatment. It is a tough medical program, but I am up for itl
It would be best if I can finish my treatment in a home, which FOHA would take care of. When I am healthy, I love car (or truck) rides. I like other dogs. I never met a trail that I did not want to explore. I can be a bit shy at first, but then turn on that southern charm.
I need an experienced owner, as I am leash reactive (yup, I can lunge!). But once I trust, I will enjoy cuddling in your lap.
Mason's Medical Information
The FOHA Medical Team says I need heartworm treatment before my adoption can be finalized. That doesn't mean I can't become a member of your family now. Once the adoption application process is complete, my adoption will be considered a "Foster with Intent to Adopt". That means I get to live with you and you will take me to one of FOHA’s approved partner veterinarians for my medical treatment. FOHA will financially cover the costs. Once my treatment is completed, we will be able to finalize my adoption and I will be forever yours.
