Meet Munchkin

🌟 Meet Munchkin!
Munchkin is a big boy with a tiny baby voice and an even bigger capacity for affection. This handsome gray guy is friendly, chatty, wonderfully social, and always ready to remind you that he deserves approximately 100% of your attention.

Munchkin has the funniest little high-pitched voice, especially coming from such a hefty gentleman. He loves to talk, loves to be petted, and loves knowing his people are nearby. His previous caregiver described him as friendly, affectionate, and someone who actively seeks out attention. He may be a little hesitant with someone brand new, but he warms up quickly, and treats certainly help!

He’s also a very busy neighborhood-watch supervisor. Munchkin likes keeping tabs on whatever is happening around him, with leaves receiving particularly intense surveillance. He may become temporarily distracted by this important work, but eventually he remembers, Wait… there are PEOPLE here! and happily comes trotting back for what feels like a joyful reunion, even if you’ve been there the entire time.

Munchkin is also doing well sharing the cattery with other cats. He seems particularly comfortable around his friend White Castle, and their friendship is refreshingly low-key: they’re perfectly happy to nap nearby and peacefully coexist. Munchkin doesn’t seem to need a feline playmate to keep him entertained, but he could be a great match for another easygoing cat who also appreciates the art of hanging out together without being all up in each other’s business.

His previous caregiver also noted that he enjoyed feather toys, fishing-pole-style wand toys, and affection, and that his litter box habits were reliable.

🐾 A Few of My Favorite Things:
Pets, compliments, chatting in my adorable baby voice, watching leaves, feather toys, wand toys, treats, peaceful cat companionship, investigating important happenings, forgetting what I was doing, and then being absolutely DELIGHTED to see you again.

🏡 What I’m Looking For:
A home that appreciates an affectionate, talkative cat with a lot of personality packed into one substantial package. I’d be perfectly happy as your one-and-only cat, especially since I love attention from my humans. I could also enjoy living with another “coexister” cat — a laid-back friend who’s happy to nap nearby and share space without expecting constant interaction.

💛 Ready to fall in love?
Come meet Munchkin. Hear the tiny meow. See the hefty boi. Stay for the joyful reunions every five minutes.

Munchkin's Medical Information

I have FIV, that's what I have but it is NOT who I AM! Please don't let that scare you away. I want you to know that FIV+ cats can and DO live long, healthy, and normal lives when given the chance. In fact, statistically, most FIV cats live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years), and much longer than cats that live outdoors (3-8 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. It's important to note that dogs, other pets, and humans are absolutely immune to FIV. The virus itself is astonishingly frail and can live outside of the body for only a few seconds. The virus is also extremely slow-acting, so it is unlikely to pose any threat to other cats in the household. I know that adopting an FIV+ cat may seem like a big responsibility, but I promise that I am worth it. I am a sweet and loving kitty who just wants a warm and safe place to call home. If you are willing to give me a chance, I promise to bring you years of joy and companionship. So please come and meet me, and see for yourself that FIV+ cats are just as wonderful and deserving of love as any other cat.
