🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:

Hi, I’m Mumbo Sauce! I’m a 11-month-old lab puppy who recently arrived at FOHA and am still getting used to this big new world. At first, I may hang back in a quiet spot and take time to observe what’s going on around me. New people and close handling can feel a little scary right now.

Something really helps me feel brave, though — other dogs! When I see a confident canine friend interacting comfortably, I get excited and much more willing to come forward to say hello. My friends noticed that I was able to approach and walk alongside a calm dog companion, showing how much support I take from having another dog nearby.

Once I relax, my playful puppy side comes out. I enjoy engaging with other dogs, moving around with loose, happy body language, and being part of the action. I still have lots to learn about leash skills and handling, but with patience, positive experiences, and encouragement, I have wonderful potential to grow into a confident and social young dog.

If you’re looking for a fun puppy who will blossom with guidance and friendship, I may be the perfect match for you.

🐶 HOW AM I WITH DOGS:

I’ve been very playful and friendly with other dogs and seem to gain confidence from their presence. I would likely benefit from living with a stable, social dog who can help show me that new situations and people are safe.

🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS:

Unknown – just ask my friends at FOHA to do a cat test and we can see how I do.

👧 HOW AM I WITH KIDS:

Unknown – because I can be fearful in new situations, slow and respectful introductions will be important.

🎓 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:

Not listed – still learning! I am new to leash skills and basic training.

Unsure at this time. My future family should be ready to help me learn routines and build confidence.

Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
