Meet Lambert
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Lambert — a big mutt with an even bigger heart! If you believe that size equals love, then I’m your guy. I may look like a gentle giant (because I am), but I also have a playful side and a lot of curiosity about the world around me. Whether it’s going for a walk or learning something new, I’ll be right by your side, ready for adventure — especially if treats are involved!
I’m a calm, affectionate boy who enjoys exploring and staying close to my people. I’m also a bit of a neat freak — I take pride in keeping my space clean and am fully housebroken. I can be startled if woken suddenly, so I appreciate gentle handling and quiet routines. Because of my size and strength, I’d do best in a home without small children, ideally with an experienced adopter who understands big, loving dogs like me.
HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I’ve done well with other dogs at FOHA who share my calm demeanor and would likely enjoy the company of a like-minded canine friend.
HOW AM I WITH CATS:
A little too overly interested in cats. I would probably do best in a home without cats.
HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
Best suited for an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy teens due to my size, strength, and startle reflex when sleeping.
I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
I know sit and I’m eager to learn more, especially when treats are involved!
MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
I’m fully housebroken and take pride in keeping my area clean. With a consistent routine and calm environment, I’ll thrive in your home.
THINGS I LIKE:
Walks, treats, gentle affection, clean spaces, calm environments, staying close to my people, and learning new things.
THINGS I DISLIKE:
Being startled while I sleep, loud or chaotic settings, and sudden movements. I do best with a peaceful home and confident guidance.
