ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Meet Hugo

Hugo is an independent, smart, and confident guy who knows what he likes. He enjoys exploring at his own pace and checks in when he wants attention, making those moments feel extra special.

He’s highly motivated by treats and loves having a little focus or activity to keep him engaged. Part cattle dog, he has a playful herding side that shows up in his curiosity and gentle guidance while exploring.

Hugo is a loyal companion for someone who appreciates an independent spirit and a dog with his own unique personality. With him, every interaction is earned, meaningful, and full of charm.

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I am good with dogs!

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
No cats for me.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I can get overstimulated and would do best with a quieter home with older, respectful, calmer children, only (13+)!

I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
I respond to my name, sit, off, down, and I’m working on stay! I’ve had previous professional training at Loudoun K9!

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
I am fully housebroken and crate trained (although I may take a little bit to settle down in my crate).

THINGS I LIKE:
Gentle attention. Slow movements.

THINGS I DISLIKE:
Sometimes new things make me nervous. I need time to warm up.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
