Meet Brandy

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:

Hi, I’m Brandy, a calm, gentle girl with a soft and thoughtful personality. I can be a little slow to engage at first, but I show interest and warm up with kind words and patience. I enjoy quietly exploring my surroundings before settling in for a cozy rest (the couch is a great spot!).

I’m an active girl who enjoys getting out and about, and I can be quite enthusiastic on walks, so I’d love a family that enjoys adventures and can help channel my energy. I also have a strong interest in squirrels, rabbits, and other critters, so I’ll do best with someone who can appreciate my natural instincts and help keep me focused when we’re out exploring together.

Sweet, quiet, and affectionate, I’m looking for a home that appreciates a softer, more sensitive companion and will give me the time and understanding to let my personality shine. ❤️

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I do well with a calmer dog.

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Unknown.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
Unknown. Because I’m gentle and somewhat sensitive, a calm home would likely suit me best.

I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
I know sit and respond well to gentle guidance. I have learned leave it, and off.

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
I can be hesitant about leaving my kennel and may need a little sweet talk and reassurance to come out. Once I’m out, I settle nicely and explore calmly. I may whine briefly when someone leaves the room or when I’d like to go for a walk. I pull slightly on leash, but it’s manageable. Loud door slams can startle me, though I recover quickly with encouragement.

My foster says I have had no accidents in the two weeks I have spent with her.

THINGS I LIKE:
Soft squeaky toys (my favorite!), gentle tug play, exploring at my own pace, cozy resting spots, calm affection, and treats (I’m not picky — even kibble works!).

THINGS I DISLIKE:
Sudden loud noises and being rushed when I’m feeling unsure. I may counter surf if something interesting is within reach, but I respond when redirected.
