Meet Fruit Snack
My name is Fruit Snack and I was rescued from a colony of cats when I was a baby. I’m growing up and working on building my confidence while enjoying being a happy kitten. I was very nervous when I first came to FOHA but have learned that people can be really nice. Now, I’m a rough and tumble kitten looking for a forever home and full-time playmate. Not every cat and kitten I’ve met wanted to be my friend, which hurt my feelings (I’m also a very sensitive fellow). I love playing, exploring, and checking in regularly with my person. So, if you are looking for an adorable, active kitten that will grow into a handsome cat and who loves a mix of play and snuggles, I might be the right fit for you!
HOW AM I WITH OTHER CATS:
I do best with a social cat companion! Kittens under 6 months old at FOHA are required to go home with another kitten or to a home with another social cat. This is prime time for me to learn everything it means to be a cat.
In my foster home, I want to be friends with everyone. I’ve met the resident cats and want to be their buddy so bad but they aren’t too sure about a rambunctious kitten. I would love at least one friendly cat brother or sister to play with, one that doesn’t mind some pouncing and occasional wrestling.
HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
To be determined. If you have a dog in the home, I will go home as foster with intent to adopt so you can see how things go!
HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
To be determined, although I am scared of new noises and sometimes sudden movements so older kids may be best. Come out and meet me and we can see!
MY LITTER BOX HABITS:
Perfect!
THINGS I LIKE:
I like playing and exploring. I’m not picky about my toys but the fleece teaser toys and balls are super fun. I also like lounging in hammocks (I have my own in my foster home rigged from a long curtain). When I’m done playing for a bit or after I’ve woken up from a nap, I love to lounge in my foster mom’s lap and soak up all the attention. I don’t sit still for too long since I’m still young, but will happily alternate between playing and snuggling. When I’m in a playful mood, I can sometimes forget that humans aren’t for chewing on, so make sure to have toys on hand as I am easily redirected!
THINGS I DISLIKE:
New noises, strangers, and tall fans (the kind that oscillate) scare me. I’m working on building my confidence and am very resilient, so if you go slow and make sure I have a safe place I will be fine. Once I trust you, I will stick close to you for protection against anything new or scary.
