Meet *Dog of the Week* – Bucket

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Bucket — a fun, spunky, and expressive young pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart! I’m equal parts playful and affectionate. I love attention, I’ll gladly engage in a game of tug or chase, and I’m always ready for an adventure. I may get a little bouncy and use my mouth when I’m excited, but I’m working on polite greetings and learning fast with the help of treats and patient guidance.

I’m the kind of dog who thrives with structure and someone who enjoys training and play in equal measure. I already know “sit” and I’m practicing “heel” on walks. I’ve been making great strides with my training and I’m excited to continue with you!

I’ve played well with other dogs at FOHA! My play style is on the rough-and-tumble side, so I’d thrive with a tolerant, playful companion or as your one-and-only if you’re looking for a high-energy sidekick.

If you’re ready for a smart, active, and loving pup who will keep you on your toes and make you laugh every day — I’m your girl!

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I enjoy dog play and do best with friendly, respectful dogs who understand my rough-and-rowdy style.

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Cat test complete! Ask my FOHA friends to see the video!

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I’d do best in a home with older kids or adults who understand that I can be jumpy and mouthy when excited. I have met young children and done well!

MY TRAINING:
Sit • Working on heel and redirection cues •  “off”

This dog is part of FOHA’s Diamond Dog Program, which means they receive extra training support and guidance to help them succeed in a home. To learn more about the Diamond Dog Program, click here and scroll down!

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Still working on kennel routine and harnessing, but eager to learn. FOHA can provide tips for continued training.

THINGS I LIKE:
Treats • Wrestling with dog friends • Getting love and attention • Learning new commands • Exploring outdoors

THINGS I STRUGGLE WITH:
Sometimes I get jumpy, but I’m working on it!
