Meet Bette Boo
Since I am over 8 years old and my love is priceless, my adoption fee has been waived.
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi there, I’m Bette Boo — a fluffy, fabulous girl with a whole lot of love (and conversation!) to give. I was deeply loved by my human dad and used to sleep curled up next to him every single night. After he passed away, life changed in a big way. My family moved into a home where I couldn’t come along, and now I find myself searching for a new person to love with my whole heart.
I’m a big girl with a big spirit — and a big voice! I was named after a chatty friend of the family, and let me tell you, I live up to the name. I’ll keep you company with sweet meows, little chirps, and plenty of personality.
Since I’ve always been the queen of my castle, I’d do best in a home where I can soak up all the attention and affection for myself. I promise I’ll give you back so much love in return.
HOW AM I WITH OTHER CATS:
To be determined. If you have another cat in the home I will go home as foster with intent to adopt so you can see how things go! (Though I’d probably prefer to be your one and only.)
HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
To be determined. If you have a dog in the home I will go home as foster with intent to adopt so you can see how things go!
HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I’d be happiest in a calm home where I can form a strong bond with my person, just like I had before.
MY LITTER BOX HABITS:
Clean and reliable — I’m a tidy lady who knows where to go.
THINGS I LIKE:
Chatting • Cozy naps • Soft beds • Window watching • Consistent companionship • Being the center of your world
THINGS I DISLIKE:
Sharing attention — I’ve waited too long for love to compete for it now!

Bette Boo's Medical Information
I have FIV, that's what I have but it is NOT who I AM! Please don't let that scare you away. I want you to know that FIV+ cats can and DO live long, healthy, and normal lives when given the chance. In fact, statistically, most FIV cats live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years), and much longer than cats that live outdoors (3-8 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. It's important to note that dogs, other pets, and humans are absolutely immune to FIV. The virus itself is astonishingly frail and can live outside of the body for only a few seconds. The virus is also extremely slow-acting, so it is unlikely to pose any threat to other cats in the household. I know that adopting an FIV+ cat may seem like a big responsibility, but I promise that I am worth it. I am a sweet and loving kitty who just wants a warm and safe place to call home. If you are willing to give me a chance, I promise to bring you years of joy and companionship. So please come and meet me, and see for yourself that FIV+ cats are just as wonderful and deserving of love as any other cat.
