Meet Anne with an E
🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Anne with an E! I recently arrived at FOHA after living in a home with many other dogs, so I am still getting used to new environments and new people. At first, I may turn away or choose a quiet spot to observe what’s happening around me. I like to take my time learning that everything is safe.
When I feel more comfortable, I will begin to approach on my own to sniff hands and accept gentle chin scratches before taking a break. My friends have seen me make wonderful progress in a short amount of time, especially when I’m around confident, friendly dogs. Watching them interact helps me feel braver and more willing to explore.
I can be unsure about leash pressure right now and may freeze or need to be carried in new situations. I also tolerate being picked up when necessary, even though I’m still building confidence with handling. Once I relax, my playful puppy personality starts to shine through — I enjoy engaging with other dogs and can be silly, wiggly, and full of energy.
If you’re patient and enjoy helping a dog grow, I have so much potential to blossom in the right home.
🐶 HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I have done very well with other dogs and seem to gain confidence from their presence. I may benefit from living with a stable, social dog who can help show me that new situations and people are safe.
🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Unknown – just ask my friends at FOHA to do a cat test and we can see how I do.
👧 HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
Unknown – because I can be fearful in new situations, slow and respectful introductions will be important.
🎓 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Not listed – still learning! I am very new to leash skills and basic training.
🏡 MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Unsure at this time. My future family should be ready to help me learn routines and build confidence.
❤️ THINGS I LIKE:

Gentle chin scratches
Taking time to observe
Playful puppy interactions
🚫 THINGS I DISLIKE:
