Mr. Walter

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Mr. Walter, a sweet, gentle old soul with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I may be a senior, but don’t let my age fool you, I’ve still got a pep in my step and a nose that loves to sniff every blade of grass. I’m the kind of guy who takes life one cozy cuddle at a time. I’m not into toys much, but I’ll chase a tennis ball once, just to be polite, then mosey off to find a good spot to lounge. What I lack in fetch skills, I make up for in affection, calm companionship, and a whole lot of happy tail wags.

I’m house-trained, polite, and easy to love. I don’t guard my food, I’m not touch-sensitive, and I’ll gladly accept pets and scratches all day long. And yes, I’m a bit of a counter surfer, but hey, who isn’t tempted by a sandwich left unattended?

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I do well with other polite pups. I enjoy calm canine companions but would be perfectly content as your one and only, too.

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
I will do best in a home without any feline friends.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I have spent time in short term foster with a child over 10 and did great!

I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
I’m still learning, but I’m very food-motivated, especially if it’s jerky, and I love bonding through training.

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
I’m housetrained and doing well with crate training. Mostly, I just want a soft bed nearby so I can keep you company.

THINGS I LIKE:
Cuddles, pets, sniffing around the yard, jerky treats, leisurely strolls, and just hanging out with my people.

THINGS I DISLIKE:
Not much! I’m pretty easygoing, but I may get startled by loud noises or sudden movements. I bounce back quickly with some gentle reassurance.

Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
