Hey there, my name is Valentino!

And I’m the missing valentine you need in your life!

I’m known for being an adorable and strong dog. I was tethered to a tree for ten days before being rescued by the wonderful people at FOHA. In my eyes, you can catch a glimpse of trauma and hope, eager to meet my new family. Naturally, I am slightly shy about meeting others, but my curiosity outweighs my fears. Once I get a second to warm up to folks and get to know them, I show my sweet and loving side. I love to engage with people, getting cuddled, soaking up affection, and feeling loved. I enjoy showing my fondness and affection and have loads of love to give!

I recently got to spend time as a short term foster with a lovely family and their 3 dogs. I got along great with the resident dogs, but for some reason I had a hard time adjusting well to another dog coming to visit, so I would need slower introductions to new dog friends. I think I would be better off with older kids and would need a dog introduction with any new fur sibling. I was also starting to listen to commands and started to calm down. I am a little wary of men at first and but I just need to go super slow and get a few good sniffs in then you’ll find me climbing in any lap. My foster family had a cat and they believe it’d be best for me NOT to go to a home with cats, unless my new family would be willing to work with me intensively.
