ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Spirit — a 9-year-old Spaniel/Border Collie mix with a sweet, soulful personality and a heart that’s just waiting to find its person. I’m a gentle, quiet kind of guy who enjoys the simple things in life: a cozy spot to rest, a calm home, and someone who’s patient and kind. Once I trust you, I’ll happily stick by your side and soak up all the affection you’ve got to give.

I’m fully house trained, crate trained, and walk nicely on leash. I also know a few handy commands like sit, stay, and come — and I thrive on a predictable routine. I’ve got that “old soul” vibe, but I still light up when I’m with someone I love.

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I do best with friendly, calm dogs and really appreciate slow introductions. I’d also be perfectly happy being the only pup in your life — more belly rubs and snacks for me!

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
I have lived with cats before and do not mind them!

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I’ve lived around children and done well, especially in calm households where I can take things at my own pace.

I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Sit, stay, come, and lay down. I love routine and respond best to a gentle, consistent approach.

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Fully house trained and crate trained. I like having a cozy crate to relax in — it helps me feel safe and secure.

THINGS I LIKE:
Quiet walks, running around in the backyard, and being near my favorite humans.

THINGS I DISLIKE:
Busy or chaotic environments can make me feel a little overwhelmed. I prefer to take things slow and have time to settle in.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
