Meet Sonoma

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi! I’m Sonoma, but you can call me Noma. I’m a wonderfully sweet little girl who just wants the chance to be a kid again and be someone’s spoiled companion. I was surrendered because I’m a bit high energy for an older dog, but I’m ready to find an active family who will help me grow and thrive. My amazing foster family says I am a “gem” and super smart, athletic and agile! I am passionate about leash walks and adventuring that is full of sniffing and wading in creeks along the way. I am equally happy chilling with my family and playing with toys – even more so if I can entice my human siblings to join me in the fun! I have done well so far with free roaming in my foster home when left alone for a couple hours. I am well-mannered and quiet – no chewing on anything I shouldn’t and no accidents in the home! I can be a little skittish at first but warm up to calm, gentle pets and attention.

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
Good with dogs.

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Does not like cats.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
Good with kids.

I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Sit. Still working on ‘stay’ and ‘come’.

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
House-trained. I am crate-trained and do well free roaming for a few hours!

THINGS I LIKE:
Walks, adventuring and wading in a cool creek! Hiking, toys and
playing in the yard. I also like gentle attention, riding in the car, and kids.

THINGS I DISLIKE:
Cats, being overly excited or rushed.
