🌟 Meet Ruby Woo!

🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:

Ruby Woo is a gentle, sensitive girl who is learning that the world can be a kind and safe place. She can be very shy when meeting new people and experiencing new environments, but every day she grows a little braver. With patience, understanding, and a few tasty treats, Ruby’s sweet personality begins to shine.

Once she trusts you, she forms wonderful connections. Volunteers who have taken the time to earn her confidence are now greeted with excited barks asking them to stop by and say hello. She especially enjoys gentle, consent-based petting under her chin and along the side of her face, soaking up affection once she knows she’s safe.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the kennels, Ruby relaxes and enjoys exploring the trails. She’s curious about the world around her, taking in new sights and smells while staying close to her trusted person. Even spotting a deer only earned a little extra interest before she settled back into her walk.

Ruby is looking for someone willing to let her move at her own pace. Her confidence continues to blossom with every positive experience, and we know that in the right home she’ll grow into an incredibly loyal and loving companion. Watching her learn to trust has been one of the greatest joys for our staff and volunteers, and we can’t wait for her forever family to experience that same magic.

🐕 HOW AM I WITH DOGS:

Unknown — my friends at FOHA can schedule a dog introduction if you have another dog at home.

🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS:

Unknown — just ask my friends at FOHA to conduct a cat test.

👶 HOW AM I WITH KIDS:

I would likely do best with calm, patient, dog-savvy children who understand that I need gentle introductions and time to build trust.

🎓 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:

I’m still learning! Positive reinforcement and treats help me build confidence.

Still learning my routine in my new environment.

Treats, quiet walks, gentle affection, sniffing new trails, kind people, and taking life one step at a time.

⚠️ THINGS I STRUGGLE WITH:

New people, loud noises, and unfamiliar situations can be scary at first. I do best with patient humans who let me approach on my own terms and celebrate my little victories.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
