Meet Rosa Barks

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi there! I’m Rosa Barks — a young, playful pup with a big heart and an even bigger wiggle! I may be a little shy in new environments, but once I’ve had a minute to get my bearings, my happy, bouncy personality shines through. I came to FOHA with my sister Fleas Witherspoon, and while we aren’t bonded, having a familiar face nearby has helped both of us adjust.

I love toys, treats, and especially cuddles. I’m eager to meet people and explore, even if I’m still figuring out that loud noises and moving chairs aren’t as scary as they seem. I walk beautifully on leash and am already showing signs of being a smart, eager-to-learn pup.

With a little time, consistency, and love, I’ll be your loyal shadow and best adventure buddy.

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
Friendly with other dogs! I’d likely enjoy a playful canine friend to help me build confidence.

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Unknown – FOHA can cat-test me upon request.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
Because I’m still a little shy, I may do best with children who understand shy dogs and can give me space to come out of my shell.

I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Still learning – but I’m treat-motivated, people-focused, and ready to impress!

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Still in progress. Shelter staff can share updates as I settle in and develop a routine.

THINGS I LIKE:
Toys, soft pets, snuggles, leash walks, treats, and making new human and dog friends.

THINGS I DISLIKE:
Sudden movements or unfamiliar noises startle me a bit, but I recover quickly and move on.
