Meet Polly Pocket
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
I’m Polly, a playful and sensitive girl who may need a little extra time to feel comfortable with new people. At first, I can be unsure and like to take my time as I figure out my surroundings at my own pace. Once I start to warm up, my fun and silly side really comes out. I love to play, and cheese is one of my absolute favorite treats. With patience, kindness, and a gentle approach, I show my sweet and affectionate side, and I really enjoy spending time with the people I trust.
I’m so excited to meet my potential new family! To make sure we have the best first impression, I’d feel most comfortable meeting new people with one of my friends (a FOHA staff or volunteer) by my side. The best way to set up a successful meet-and-greet is by submitting an application first. Thanks for considering me!
I’m also eligible for FOHA’s Foster Forward Program, which helps long-stay animals like me experience home life and increases my chances of adoption.
HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
Unknown – my friends at FOHA will schedule a time to do a dog introduction with your dog and we can see if we get along!
HOW AM I WITH CATS:
I have done well with FOHA’s resident cat, Riley but I have done not so well with other cats. My friends at FOHA can show you my interactions with Riley and other cats to see what you think!
HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
Due to my hesitation in new situations with people and environments, I may do best with older children who can give me the space and understanding I need to feel safe.
I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Not listed – still learning!
MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Learning.
THINGS I LIKE:
Cheese! And hotdogs. I love walks and play time with you!
THINGS I DISLIKE:
Things moving too quickly. Invading my space before I have had a chance to warm up. I don’t like being left alone for long periods.
