🌟 Meet Pesto!

🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:

If you’re looking for a dog who loves people with his whole heart, look no further than Pesto! This sweet, goofy puppy believes everyone he meets is a new best friend and will happily shower you with kisses, cuddles, and enthusiastic tail wags. His favorite place to be is right next to his people, soaking up attention and giving love in return.

Like many young dogs, Pesto is still learning about the world around him. New places, loud noises, and unfamiliar dogs can feel a little overwhelming, but his confidence grows with every positive experience. Once he knows he’s safe, his playful personality shines. He loves bones, enjoys playing tug, and seems to have a special fondness for orange toys!

Pesto is still working on his leash skills and can be hesitant about unfamiliar places, preferring to stay close to people he trusts rather than venture too far. Despite his worries, he’s curious and eager to learn. With patience, encouragement, and consistency, we know this sweet boy will continue blossoming into a confident companion.

If you’re looking for a dog who will greet you every day like you’ve been gone for years and remind you how wonderful unconditional love can be, Pesto is ready to steal your heart.

🐕 HOW AM I WITH DOGS:

I can be nervous around unfamiliar dogs, especially if they’re barking. Slow introductions and positive experiences will help build my confidence. FOHA will schedule a dog introduction if you have another dog at home.

🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS:

Unknown — just ask my friends at FOHA to conduct a cat test.

👶 HOW AM I WITH KIDS:

Unknown, but I would likely do best with respectful children who understand that I’m still gaining confidence and can be a bouncy, excitable puppy.

🎓 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:

I know “sit” and I’m eager to keep learning, especially when treats are involved!

🏠 MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:

I’m still learning my routine and adjusting to life in a new environment.

💖 THINGS I LIKE:

People, cuddles, kisses, bones, tug toys, orange toys, treats, making new human friends, and being the center of attention.

⚠️ THINGS I STRUGGLE WITH:

Loud noises, unfamiliar places, and barking dogs can make me nervous. I can also be jumpy and mouthy in that typical happy puppy way, so I’ll benefit from continued positive training as I grow.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
