Meet Oatmilk
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Oatmilk — sweet, soft, and just a little bit sensitive (just like my name suggests!). I’m a gentle, treat-loving guy who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Sudden movements and loud noises make me a little nervous, so I’d love a home where things are calm, patient, and steady.
Once I feel comfortable, I start to blossom — on the trails, I light up! I’ll bounce along happily, nose to the ground, following every interesting scent (just don’t try to reroute me… I’m very committed to the path I choose!). I may plant my feet or go into full stubborn toddler mode, but if you jog with me, I’m all in.
I’m still working on building confidence, especially around food and new people, but I’ve never shown any aggression. I prefer to approach you on my own terms, and if you give me time, I’ll be your loyal little lovebug — I’ve even been known to paw gently for more pets.
HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
Good! I came in with notes and videos showing me happily playing with other pups.
HOW AM I WITH CATS:
My previous shelter noted that I was good with cats. If interested FOHA staff will conduct a cat test and send a video to the potential adopter.
HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I’ve been around children before and have done well.
I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Sit (when I feel brave enough!). I’m also learning how to walk confidently with my person.
MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Still learning — but I’m tidy and making progress!
THINGS I LIKE:
Treats of any kind • Quiet affection • Exploring trails • Being allowed to go my own pace • Gentle pets on the chest
THINGS I DISLIKE:
Squeaky toys • Sudden movements • Loud noises • Being rushed (especially on walks!)
