Meet Morpheus
🌟 Meet Morpheus!
What if we told you that you don’t have to choose between the red pill and the blue pill…. you can simply choose Morpheus?
This stunning black cat is ready to show you just how deep the rabbit hole of feline affection goes. Morpheus is a professional biscuit maker, certified lovebug, and enthusiastic belly rub recipient who seems happiest when he has a person nearby to adore him.
Morpheus was originally found by a kindhearted person who went above and beyond to help him. She searched for his family, had him vetted, and gave him a safe place to stay while hoping someone would claim him. No one ever did, but during that time, Morpheus made one thing very clear: he knows exactly how to be a wonderful house cat. Unfortunately, the resident cat wasn’t interested in adding a roommate, so Morpheus eventually made his way to FOHA to find a home of his own.
He’s still relatively new to FOHA, but he’s already settling into the space he shares with some of our other FIV positive cats. Through all the changes, his priorities remain refreshingly simple: love me, pet me, and please don’t overlook the belly. Yes, this is a cat who will actually roll over and invite you in for belly rubs!
Morpheus is FIV positive, but FIV positive cats can live long, happy lives (read more below), and his diagnosis certainly hasn’t stopped him from being an affectionate, charming guy ready for his next chapter.
🐾 A Few of My Favorite Things:
Making biscuits, getting attention, belly rubs, being loved on, relaxing with my people, and reminding everyone that there is no spoon.
🏡 What I’m Looking For:
A loving home where I can get plenty of affection and settle back into the comfortable house-cat life I already know. I’m currently adjusting well to sharing space with other FIV positive cats at FOHA. If you have another cat or a dog at home, I can go home as foster with intent to adopt so we can make sure everyone feels comfortable.
💛 Ready to enter the Matrix?
Follow the black cat. This time, he leads straight to FOHA, and he’s waiting for belly rubs.

Morpheus's Medical Information
I have FIV, that's what I have but it is NOT who I AM! Please don't let that scare you away. I want you to know that FIV+ cats can and DO live long, healthy, and normal lives when given the chance. In fact, statistically, most FIV cats live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years), and much longer than cats that live outdoors (3-8 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. It's important to note that dogs, other pets, and humans are absolutely immune to FIV. The virus itself is astonishingly frail and can live outside of the body for only a few seconds. The virus is also extremely slow-acting, so it is unlikely to pose any threat to other cats in the household. I know that adopting an FIV+ cat may seem like a big responsibility, but I promise that I am worth it. I am a sweet and loving kitty who just wants a warm and safe place to call home. If you are willing to give me a chance, I promise to bring you years of joy and companionship. So please come and meet me, and see for yourself that FIV+ cats are just as wonderful and deserving of love as any other cat.
