🌟 Meet Me — Mae!

Hi, I’m Mae, a soulful, affectionate girl with a gentle heart and a gift for connection. When you talk to me, I listen. I tilt my head like I understand every word (and honestly, I probably do). People say there’s a softness in my eyes that makes them feel seen, understood, and loved, and that makes me so happy, because love is my favorite thing to give.

I’m the kind of dog who makes every house feel like home. I greet guests with a joyful tail wag and one of my favorite toys proudly in my mouth. I love being near my people, whether we’re curled up on the couch or heading out for a long walk, I’ll match your mood perfectly. Calm when you’re calm, playful when you’re ready to move, and always in tune with your energy. If you tell me “I love you,” my tail starts wagging right away, I know what that means. I’ll lean in for a kiss (on your arm, not your face, I’m polite like that).

I’m house and crate trained, and I’m wonderful with children, I’ve even lived happily with little ones under five. I’d do best with someone who works from home or has a hybrid schedule since I get a little anxious when left alone. I just need some patience, consistency, and reassurance to remember that I’m safe and loved. With time, I’ll settle in and finally feel what “home” really means.

🐾 How I Am With Other Dogs:
I like my space and do best as the only dog in the home. I can coexist peacefully with familiar dogs in controlled settings or on walks, but I’d rather not share my people full-time.

🐾 How I Am With Cats or Small Animals:
No cats or small animals, please.

🐾 How I Am With Kids:
I adore children and am gentle and patient, even with little ones.

💖 Things I Like:
Being around people, car rides, adventures, cuddling, and treats (lots of treats).

🌧️ Things I Struggle With:
I get anxious when left alone and during thunderstorms, and I can be a little reactive toward other dogs on walks, especially energetic ones.

Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and any additional medical procedures recommended by our vet.
