Meet Mae

Meet Mae, a soulful, affectionate girl whose gentle spirit seems to understand the world around her in the most heartfelt way. She has a rare gift for connection. When you speak to her, she listens, tilting her head as if she truly understands every word. There’s a softness in her eyes and a warmth in her presence that makes you feel seen, understood, and loved all at once. Mae’s kind heart and effortless charm have a way of winning people over the moment they meet her.

Mae is the kind of dog who makes every house feel like home. She adores people and greets guests with a joyful tail wag and one of her favorite toys proudly in her mouth. Whether you’re spending a cozy night curled up on the couch or heading out for a long walk, Mae has an incredible way of matching your energy. She’s calm when you’re calm, playful when you’re ready to move, and always perfectly in tune with your mood. She even seems to know what “I love you” means. Say it, and her tail starts wagging before she leans in with the sweetest, most polite kisses, carefully placed on your arm instead of your face.

Mae is house and crate trained and is wonderful with children. She would do best with someone who works from home or has a hybrid work schedule, as she experiences some separation anxiety and will need patience, consistency, and reassurance while she learns to feel safe and confident on her own. With time and love, Mae will settle in and realize she’s finally home, the place she’s meant to stay.

Loyal. Intuitive. Unfailingly loving. Mae is the kind of companion who will curl up beside you when you need comfort and love you with her whole heart every single day.

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:

Mae values her own space and needs to be the only dog in the home. While she can coexist peacefully with familiar dogs in controlled settings and on walks, she prefers not to share her home full time.

HOW AM I WITH CATS OR SMALL ANIMALS:

No cats or small animals.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:

Mae adores children and has lived happily with little ones under five. She’s consistently patient and gentle even in the middle of noise, energy, and excitement.

THINGS I LIKE:

Being around people, adventures, treats, cuddling, and car rides.

THINGS I STRUGGLE WITH:

Separation anxiety, anxiety during storms (loud thunder is scary!), and occasional reactivity toward other dogs on walks, particularly high energy or overly excited dogs.
