Meet Mae
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Mae! My foster family says I’m literally the perfect dog. I love children, walk beautifully on a leash, and am incredibly polite and gentle. Instead of licking faces, I give sweet kisses on your wrist or forearm. I stay close to my people, rarely bark (except to let the deer know I see them!), and never steal food or take toys that aren’t mine. At night, I snuggle up in bed with my foster sister—I’m the best cuddle buddy ever! I’m still getting used to other dogs and would be happiest as the only dog in the home. Shelter life was stressful, but now that I’m decompressing, my true loving personality is shining through. I’m ready for my forever family—could it be you?
HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
Dog selective; has done well with one playful pup but would do best as the only dog. Needs slow introductions and space.
HOW AM I WITH CATS:
No cats!
HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I love kids!
I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Sit, Stay, Paw.
MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Housetrained.
THINGS I LIKE: Tennis balls — I could chase them all day! Walks — especially when I get to sniff everything. Cuddling — I’m a total snugglebug. Being near my people — your shadow has nothing on me! My squeaky pig — it’s my favorite toy ever! Yummy treats — yes, please and thank you!
THINGS I DISLIKE: Other dogs in the home — I prefer to be your one and only! Cats — no thank you! Storms and loud noises — they really stress me out. Being left alone for too long — I’m happiest when I’m with my people.
