Meet Little Caesars
🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Little Caesars! I recently arrived at FOHA and am still learning that new people and new experiences can be safe. At first, I tend to keep my distance and observe what’s happening around me. Once I feel more comfortable, I will begin to approach on my own to sniff hands and accept gentle chin scratches before taking a break.
My friends noticed that I gain confidence by watching other dogs interact calmly with people. When a confident canine friend joined me during my assessment, I started checking in more often and showing curiosity about meeting new humans. I’m still building trust with touch and handling, but I’ve already made a lot of progress in a short amount of time.
I have a lot to learn about the world, and my future family will help me continue growing into the best version of myself. If you’re patient and enjoy celebrating small wins, I may be your guy!
🐶 HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I would likely benefit from living with a confident, friendly dog who can help show me that new situations aren’t scary. I seem to feel more secure and willing to explore when another dog is nearby.
🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Unknown — just ask my friends at FOHA to do a cat test and we can see how I do.
👧 HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
Unknown — because I can be fearful in new situations, slow and respectful introductions will be important.
🎓 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Still learning! I’m very new to leash skills and basic training.
🏡 MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Unsure at this time. My new family should be prepared to help me learn routines and build confidence.
❤️ THINGS I LIKE:
Watching other dogs
Gentle chin scratches
Taking my time to get comfortable
Quiet environments
🚫 THINGS I DISLIKE:
Feeling rushed
Too much pressure on leash
Sudden handling before I’m ready
