Meet Lexi
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Lexi, a gorgeous husky/lab mix with a heart as big as my fluffy coat. Like many huskies, I’ve got a curious, adventurous spirit and I love to explore the world around me. I was surrendered to FOHA after my previous family struggled with me sneaking off to chase deer (hey, can you blame me?), but now I’m ready to find a home that understands my playful nature and gives me the love and structure I need.
I’ve lived with three other dogs and did well with them, and here at FOHA I’ve already shown that I’m easy to walk, easy to harness, and sweet as can be. Out on the trails, I sometimes stop and look around, hoping to spot another deer, but I’m just as happy to come back for cuddles and lean in close for love.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s equal parts adventurous and snuggly, I just might be your perfect match.
HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I previously lived with three dogs and did well. If you have a dog at home, FOHA will schedule a dog introduction before adoption to make sure we’re a good fit.
HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Likely not the best match due to my prey drive, but if you have cats, FOHA can conduct a cat test and share a video so you can see how I do.
HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I am good with kids. I have met kids under ten and do well as long as parents are attentive and teach their young ones to respect my boundaries.
I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
I’m still learning, but I’m very smart and eager to please.
MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
To be determined, but I’ve shown good manners so far.
THINGS I LIKE:
Walks • Chasing leaves • Exploring trails • Cuddles and leaning in close • Spending time outside
THINGS I DISLIKE:
Not much! I just need a safe, secure home where I can’t go adventuring on my own.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
