Meet Kiara

ABOUT KIARA:
Hi! I’m Kiara, a sweet and lovely Husky Mix ready to find my forever family. I arrived at FOHA with my sister Kita, and we’re hoping to go home together because we’re bonded and support each other a lot.

I’m a bit shy and skittish at first, but I have a big heart full of love to share once I feel safe. I’m more outgoing than my sister and will gladly take a high-value treat—cheese is my absolute favorite! I love exploring on leash and playing in the yard with other dogs. Having a canine companion helps me build confidence, and I’d thrive best in a home with another dog and patient humans who understand shy pups like me.

Because of my high prey drive, I need a home without small pets (or where they can be kept safely apart). I’ve done well meeting kids over 10 and get along great with most dogs.

If you’re patient and kind, and can give me the time and space to grow, we could be the perfect match!

HOW AM I WITH:

  • Dogs: Good with dogs, especially my sister Kita

  • Kids: Has met kids over 10 and done well

  • Cats: No cats

  • Small Animals: No small animals

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Bonded with sister Kita; must be adopted together

  • Strong on leash, enjoys sniffing and exploring

  • Shy around new people, but curious and warms up with patience

  • Would benefit from a home with experience with shy dogs, but not required

My sister, Kita, is shier than I am- and I help give her confidence. We aren’t too happy when we’re separated, and we really do well when we’re together. We’d do best in a home together forever. We are GREAT in play group, so we’d be happy to join a home with other dogs!
