Meet Hickory
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Meet Hickory! If joy came in the shape of a dog, it would look a lot like Hickory. This handsome boy was found in the woods of North Carolina, tangled in a chain but patiently waiting with his dog friend until help arrived. Even after such a rough start, Hickory’s spirit is bright, silly, and full of life.
Hickory is an energetic young pup who lives for adventure. He loves to explore, zoom around, and make every walk feel like a grand outing. He’s strong and curious, and while he’s still learning his leash manners, he’s eager to please and picks things up quickly with a little consistency (and a pocket full of treats).
Playtime is Hickory’s love language—he adores toys, enjoys enrichment puzzles, and is happiest when he gets to run, jump, and wag that whole-body tail of his. He’s affectionate and goofy, and when he’s not zooming about, he’s all about attention and cuddles.
Hickory would thrive with an adopter who enjoys being active and is ready to guide him as he continues to learn about the world.
Under all that playful energy is a clever, loyal companion just waiting for his person. Hickory’s been through a lot, but he’s ready for his next chapter—a home where his big heart and boundless joy can shine.
