Meet Goose 🌟

🐶 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:

Goose is a joyful, energetic young dog with a playful personality that lights up any room. He’s often described as “bouncy” by FOHA staff because of his long legs, big feet, and boundless enthusiasm for zoomies. Goose loves being around people and is happiest when he can follow his humans around and be part of the action.

In foster care, Goose has shown that he’s a friendly, affectionate dog who enjoys both playtime and relaxing with his people. He loves toys, especially balls and chew toys, and will happily entertain himself or invite his dog friends to join in the fun. He’s also a smart boy who already knows several commands and enjoys learning when treats are involved.

Goose is very food motivated and eager to learn, which makes training fun and rewarding. Like many young dogs, he can sometimes get a little enthusiastic—he may pull on leash at times or try to investigate the kitchen counters for snacks—but with structure and consistency he continues to improve.

He rides well in the car (though he may need a little encouragement to hop in) and settles nicely in his crate when left alone. Goose has done well living with another dog and enjoys playful canine companions who can match his energy but also help him practice good play manners.

Because of his active personality and love for running and exploring, Goose would do best in a home with a fenced yard and plenty of opportunities for exercise and enrichment. Once he’s had a chance to burn off some energy, he’s happy to relax nearby and enjoy being with his people.

Goose is a fun, affectionate, and playful companion who will thrive in a home ready for an active dog who loves adventure, toys, and being part of the family.

🐕 HOW AM I WITH DOGS:

He has done well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. A dog friend who can match his playful energy and give him appropriate corrections when needed would be great.

🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS:

Unknown — FOHA can do a cat test and see how he does.

👶 HOW AM I WITH KIDS:

He has met children and done well. Because of his puppy energy and enthusiasm, he may do best with older children.

🎓 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:

Come, sit, stay, place, load up, paw, wait, and kennel.

🏠 MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:

I’m housebroken and do well in a crate when my people are away.

💖 THINGS I LIKE:

Sniffing adventures, walks, bouncing around the play yard, toys of all kinds (especially balls and chew toys), playing with my dog friends, chewing on my favorite nylabone, and getting lots of attention!

🚫 THINGS I DISLIKE:

I can get excited by small animals like squirrels and may try to chase them. Because of this, a fenced yard is ideal so I can safely burn off my energy.

Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), diagnostic testing, any additional medical procedures recommended by our vet, 1 bag starter food, a slip lead leash, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, and 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support.
