Meet Dylan
PUPDATE!
During Labor Day weekend, I got to go on another great adventure with two of my favorite people. As always, I behaved perfectly and most enjoyed our car rides together and snuggling on the couch. The hikes were good too, but I like laying on the couch snoozing more 🙂. Because I like sleeping, I also let my ‘weekend mom and dad’ sleep in and didn’t bother them once during the night. But by 7:30am, I needed to check they were ok and when they opened their eyes, I was so happy.
I also enjoyed watching the surrounding woods from the comfort of the porch. I was told again and again what a good boy I am and got to eat yummy beef and chicken made specially for me.
If people give me the chance to get to know and trust them, I will love them furever and be a loyal and wonderful companion.
Over the July 4th weekend, two of my favorite people took me out for my own vacation! I got to stay in a beautiful cabin and I was such a good boy! In the car I decided to take on the roll of look out, I’d make sure to lick the ear of the driver to make sure they were paying attention and focused on the road! Once in the cabin, I really got to relax and enjoy my time away from the shelter. I am truly a couch potato! I wanted to spend all my time on the couch, sometimes I wouldn’t even get up to go out for walks just so I could keep snoozing on the couch(and walks are my favorite). And man do I snooze, you could probably hear my snoring from a mile away! I’m housebroken and never had an accident the whole time I was hanging out. It may take me time to warm up, but once I do, I love my people with all my heart!
“How does it feel? To be without a home. Like a complete unknown, like a rolling stone.”
My namesake sang those lyrics more than 50 years ago, but I’m hoping my forever family will make my dream come true and ensure those words no longer apply to this Dylan. My relative Bob had a keen sense for making music and poetry, but my nose likes to pick up a different scent when out on a hiking tour of trails. Just like a rock star needs a tour bus to relax, when not touring the neighborhood on a fun walk I can curl up with my band mates and nap on a warm summer day. No musical artist can make hits on their own, and just like them, this Dylan rocker at times is nervous and will need some patience if faced with an unruly crowd of fans, or strangers. You do not need to have studied at the Berklee School of Music, but some familiarity with dogs will ensure we get off on the right note. Once we start to click and jam a few times, I will show you just how affectionate and on pitch I can be. Don’t be fooled by my rock star namesake, I prefer calm, affectionate tunes and gentle pets if you want us to hit the right beat together. I have some instruments I will not play best with, cats and children, as this maestro knows exactly how I envision my symphonic home.
Decades ago some producer took a chance on Bob Dylan and now he is one of the greatest musicians of all time. If you give this Dylan an audition, we will make year’s worth of platinum memories that will ensure our band makes it into the hall of fame.
Dylan loves to snooze on the couch!
