Meet Davenport

🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Davenport — a flame point feline with striking good looks and the goofiest crossed eyes you’ve ever seen. I’m a true original, inside and out. If you’re looking for personality, I’m serving it in spades.

Now, let’s talk about my vibe: I like to think of myself as a reverse sour patch kid. I’ll start off sweet—leaning in for some pets, giving you my best purr—but once I’ve hit my affection limit, I’ll politely let you know that hands are canceled for now. Don’t worry—I’m not mean, just expressive. The great news is that I’m super playful, and toys are the way to my heart. Wand toys, balls, things that crinkle—you name it, I’m into it.

When I’m not entertaining you with my antics, I love lounging around and watching the birds. I’ve got a chill side too, and once I find my cozy corner, I’m content to just relax and observe the world with my wonderfully wonky gaze.

I’m looking for a cat-savvy adopter who appreciates a little sass with their sweetness and understands the importance of toy time and personal space. In return, I’ll bring endless amusement and plenty of love—on my terms, of course.

🐱 HOW AM I WITH OTHER CATS:
I can coexist with other cats, especially calm ones who respect my space. I’m not looking for a snuggle buddy—just some peaceful coexistence.

🐶 HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
Unknown. FOHA doesn’t have information about my experience with dogs, but they can share tips for slow, gentle introductions.

šŸ‘¶ HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I’d do best in an adult-only home or one with older, respectful kids who understand that not every moment is a cuddle moment.

🧼 MY LITTER BOX HABITS:
Excellent! I’m very clean and consistent.

šŸ’– THINGS I LIKE:
All the toys • Window watching • Lounging in sunbeams • Funny conversations with birds • Calling the shots on affection

🚫 THINGS I DISLIKE:
Too many hands when I’m not feeling it. I’ll let you know—politely but clearly.

Davenport's Medical Information

I have FIV, that's what I have but it is NOT who I AM! Please don't let that scare you away. I want you to know that FIV+ cats can and DO live long, healthy, and normal lives when given the chance. In fact, statistically, most FIV cats live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years), and much longer than cats that live outdoors (3-8 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. It's important to note that dogs, other pets, and humans are absolutely immune to FIV. The virus itself is astonishingly frail and can live outside of the body for only a few seconds. The virus is also extremely slow-acting, so it is unlikely to pose any threat to other cats in the household. I know that adopting an FIV+ cat may seem like a big responsibility, but I promise that I am worth it. I am a sweet and loving kitty who just wants a warm and safe place to call home. If you are willing to give me a chance, I promise to bring you years of joy and companionship. So please come and meet me, and see for yourself that FIV+ cats are just as wonderful and deserving of love as any other cat.
