Meet Daphne

🌟 Meet Daphne!

Daphne is a beautiful soul who came to FOHA after being part of a 30-cat colony left behind when their caretaker disappeared. While her past was uncertain, Daphne has shown us that her future is filled with love, comfort, and cozy moments.

This pretty girl is gentle, observant, and quietly affectionate. She enjoys perching up high where she can take in the room and feel safe while watching the world go by. It doesn’t take long, though, for her sweet personality to shine — with just a little gentle petting, Daphne will happily roll onto her side and ask for more attention. She has a soft, trusting nature that makes spending time with her feel extra special.

🐾 A Few of My Favorite Things:
Relaxing in elevated spots, gentle pets, peaceful exploring, and soaking up calm affection from kind humans.

🏡 What I’m Looking For:
I would love a patient, loving home where I can continue building confidence and enjoying the quiet comforts of indoor life. I may do well with another respectful cat friend who can help me feel even more at ease. If you already have a cat or a dog, I can go home as foster with intent to adopt so we can make sure it’s a great match for everyone.

💛 Ready to fall in love?
If you’re looking for a gentle, beautiful companion who will quietly blossom in your care, I’d love to meet you.

Daphne's Medical Information

I have FIV, that's what I have but it is NOT who I AM! Please don't let that scare you away. I want you to know that FIV+ cats can and DO live long, healthy, and normal lives when given the chance. In fact, statistically, most FIV cats live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years), and much longer than cats that live outdoors (3-8 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. It's important to note that dogs, other pets, and humans are absolutely immune to FIV. The virus itself is astonishingly frail and can live outside of the body for only a few seconds. The virus is also extremely slow-acting, so it is unlikely to pose any threat to other cats in the household. I know that adopting an FIV+ cat may seem like a big responsibility, but I promise that I am worth it. I am a sweet and loving kitty who just wants a warm and safe place to call home. If you are willing to give me a chance, I promise to bring you years of joy and companionship. So please come and meet me, and see for yourself that FIV+ cats are just as wonderful and deserving of love as any other cat.
