Meet Cami
🐾 Meet Cami
Cami is a lovely gray cat who adjusts quickly to calm, cozy environments. After being left behind in an apartment, she transitioned through the FOHA cattery and into foster care, where she settled into a steady routine and showed how adaptable she can be when her surroundings are peaceful.
In her foster home, Cami spends much of the day resting in a soft bed or watching quietly from a window. She seeks out affection regularly and leans into petting sessions, remaining nearby rather than drifting off. When the home is calm, she moves confidently through the space and chooses comfortable spots where she can observe and relax.
She uses the litter box consistently and keeps her resting areas tidy. She has previously done well around other cats and handled the cattery environment without conflict. With proper introductions, she may adjust to another calm pet. If there is another animal in the home, she would go home as foster-with-intent-to-adopt so everyone can ensure a good fit.
Cami has hyperthyroidism and follows a consistent care routine. She receives one pill in the morning and one pill at night, along with a balanced diet and access to fresh water. She tolerates her medication well and maintains a stable daily rhythm with this regimen.
🏡 The Right Home for Cami
Cami will thrive in a quiet household with predictable routines and someone who enjoys steady companionship. She prefers relaxation over high activity and is most comfortable when the energy in the home is gentle. If you are looking for a calm, affectionate cat who settles into cozy spaces, seeks regular petting, and appreciates a peaceful environment, Cami is ready to meet you.

Cami's Medical Information
I have FIV, that's what I have but it is NOT who I AM! Please don't let that scare you away. I want you to know that FIV+ cats can and DO live long, healthy, and normal lives when given the chance. In fact, statistically, most FIV cats live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years), and much longer than cats that live outdoors (3-8 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. It's important to note that dogs, other pets, and humans are absolutely immune to FIV. The virus itself is astonishingly frail and can live outside of the body for only a few seconds. The virus is also extremely slow-acting, so it is unlikely to pose any threat to other cats in the household. I know that adopting an FIV+ cat may seem like a big responsibility, but I promise that I am worth it. I am a sweet and loving kitty who just wants a warm and safe place to call home. If you are willing to give me a chance, I promise to bring you years of joy and companionship. So please come and meet me, and see for yourself that FIV+ cats are just as wonderful and deserving of love as any other cat.
