Meet Ash

🌟 Meet Ash!

Ash may very well be one of the sweetest cats to ever come through FOHA’s doors. From the moment you meet him, it’s clear — this boy is here for one thing and one thing only: love.

He doesn’t just enjoy pets… he actively asks for them. Ash will gently take your hand and pull it back toward him as if to say, “Excuse me, you stopped too soon.” His affectionate nature is impossible to resist, and he has a wonderfully easygoing personality that makes spending time with him feel calm, joyful, and natural.

🐾 A Few of My Favorite Things:
Ash is playful without being overwhelming, happy to entertain himself with toys or share interactive playtime with his people. He’s also one of those rare and magical cats who loves belly rubs. While most cats guard their tummies like a secret treasure, Ash happily rolls over and invites you in. He truly thrives on attention, affection, and connection.

🏡 What I’m Looking For:
Ash would do beautifully in a home where he can be part of everyday life — lounging nearby, soaking up pets, and showing off his sweet personality. His relaxed and friendly nature makes him a wonderful companion for someone looking for an affectionate, playful, and emotionally connected cat.

And here’s a special endorsement — even our veterinary team had great things to say about him. That’s right… Ash is officially “vet recommended.”

💛 Ready to fall in love?
Come meet Ash at FOHA. Be warned — once he grabs your hand for more pets, you may never want to leave.

Ash's Medical Information

I have FIV, that's what I have but it is NOT who I AM! Please don't let that scare you away. I want you to know that FIV+ cats can and DO live long, healthy, and normal lives when given the chance. In fact, statistically, most FIV cats live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years), and much longer than cats that live outdoors (3-8 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. It's important to note that dogs, other pets, and humans are absolutely immune to FIV. The virus itself is astonishingly frail and can live outside of the body for only a few seconds. The virus is also extremely slow-acting, so it is unlikely to pose any threat to other cats in the household. I know that adopting an FIV+ cat may seem like a big responsibility, but I promise that I am worth it. I am a sweet and loving kitty who just wants a warm and safe place to call home. If you are willing to give me a chance, I promise to bring you years of joy and companionship. So please come and meet me, and see for yourself that FIV+ cats are just as wonderful and deserving of love as any other cat.
