Meet Angel

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi, I’m Angel! I am a sweet, 4.5-year-old mix who is a true “cuddle bug” at heart. I am a very affectionate, “Velcro dog” who wants nothing more than to be by your side (or in your bed!). Because I bond so deeply with my person, I can be a little protective of my home and I get anxious when I am left alone for too long. I am looking for a patient owner who can give me slow introductions to strangers and help me feel secure. If you are looking for a loyal companion who will love you fiercely and enjoy quiet days cuddling and walking, I am the girl for you.

HOW AM I WITH DOGS: I am good with other dogs! I have lived with both males and females. I’m happy to say hello or play for a bit, but I’m also content just hanging out.

HOW AM I WITH CATS: I have lived with cats (and even livestock!) and I do well with them.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Because I can be nervous and protective of my space, I would do best in a calm home with adults or older, distinct children who can respect my boundaries.

I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: I am still working on my formal commands, but I am very eager to please my person!.

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I am housetrained! However, I am not crate trained. I do best when I am not confined to a crate and have people around, as I can get anxious and destructive if left alone for very long periods.

THINGS I LIKE: I love sleeping in the big bed with you, cuddling, going for walks, and being your shadow around the house.

THINGS I DISLIKE: I don’t like being left alone for long workdays (separation anxiety is tough!) and I am not a fan of strangers coming into my home unannounced, I need a moment to trust new people.
