FOHA Helping Hands: Art & Enrichment

Join us for FOHA Helping Hands: Art & Enrichment, a family-friendly volunteer activity at Friends of Homeless Animals focused on behind-the-scenes projects that support our dogs and cats.

This relaxed, hands-on event takes place once a month on the first Friday of the month at 5pm and does not involve direct animal handling. Volunteers will help with simple projects such as creating enrichment items, assembling adoption and foster “going-home” bags, and making basic artwork or decorations for the shelter.

Volunteers 16 years and older may attend independently. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, as activities require hands-on participation and adult assistance.

No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to help. All supplies are provided, and staff will be available to guide the projects.

Whether you’re a longtime FOHA supporter, a family looking for a meaningful way to give back, or someone interested in volunteering without animal handling, this is a great way to make a positive impact on the lives of our shelter dogs and cats.
