Special Note: Complimentary tickets are offered for our volunteers and your families – so we will want to coordinate that once we know how many volunteers will attend.
Come visit Santa and his workshop where the kids can work side-by-side with elves, creating toys and learning Santa’s secrets!
Kids Tickets include:
– Private family meet and greet with Santa
– Admission to Santa’s workshop
– Visit the mailroom to write a letter to Santa
– Ornament and hat decorating lessons from the elf’s
– Build-a-bear workshop! Each child gets to select and create a stuffed animal to take home.
– Meet Santa’s animals at the petting zoo!
For the moms and dads, there will be a wine and beer tasting from our local vineyards and breweries!
*Also available are pony rides and pick out your Christmas Tree

Dog Walkers (4-8 volunteers)
Meet and greets with the general public. Introduce your pup to people, tell them about FOHA, meet potential adopters, volunteers, and donors. If your dog needs a break, you can move them to another area or return to the shelter. There is no obligation to be there for the full event – just coordinate with our team about when you plan to arrive and depart or if something comes up so we can support you.
Available FOHA dogs for the event will be announced early during the week of the event.
Booth/Table Set-Up (one or two volunteers)
Having two volunteers work together makes setting up the tent easier. Sign up and let me know if you can bring the tent, a table, and the events bins from the shelter, please. Bringing camping chairs can be helpful, too. Arriving early makes setting up a bit easier, too.
Booth/Table Staffing (one or two volunteers, Dog Walkers)
Handing out information and swag, our booth staff support the Dog Walkers and answer questions about FOHA. Would you please take photos of our volunteers and dogs at the event and share them with Michelle Wright and the FOHA social media team (email@example.com
)? Would you mind helping with packing up any booth elements, including the table at the end of the event?
Booth/Table Tear Down (one or two volunteers)
At the end of the event, please pack up the booth supplies and table and return them to the FOHA Shelter. There should be room for the booth supplies in the storage shed by the Adoption Office; tables are stored in a sea crate.
