Meet Nigel

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Nigel! I’m a unique mix of German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, Beagle, Chow Chow, Catahoula, and more, according to my DNA test. I’m a senior guy with a lot of personality and a fun-loving spirit. I’m an ideal walking buddy who walks right alongside you without pulling—unless I spot a cat, then I get a little excited! I’d thrive best in a calm, adult-only home where I can be the one and only dog. I need an experienced owner who understands dogs with special behavioral needs, as I have some sensitivities to touch (especially around my head and collar) and resource guarding issues. Kids and other pets are not a good fit for me. Though I’m a little rusty with dog social skills, I’m a good boy who’s looking for a patient family that will help me feel safe and loved.

I’m so excited to meet my potential new family! To make sure we have the best first impression, I’d feel most comfortable meeting new people with one of my friends(a FOHA staff or volunteer) by my side. The best way to set up a successful meet-and-greet is by submitting an application first. Thanks for considering me!
