Meet Echo
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Echo — but honestly, Big Goofball might be more accurate. I’m a happy, playful guy who never met a couch I didn’t love (or try to claim as mine). Despite my size, I’m convinced I’m a lapdog and will happily prove it if you let me!
I adore car rides, snuggling with my favorite humans, and romping around with my beloved oversized ball. It’s been a little while since I was in a playgroup, but I used to enjoy playing with other dogs — though I can be a bit much for the smaller ones. My absolute favorite thing? Hanging out after hours in the adoption office, soaking up affection from staff and volunteers like the oversized cuddle bug I am.
I’m a smart cookie, too — I know sit, lay down, paw, and off. I can be protective of my people and my space, so I’d thrive with an experienced adopter who understands how to guide a loyal, big-hearted dog like me. I’d do best in a home without young children (under 12), where I can enjoy structure, companionship, and a comfy couch or two.
I’m so excited to meet my potential new family! To make sure we have the best first impression, I’d feel most comfortable meeting new people with one of my friends(a FOHA staff or volunteer) by my side. The best way to set up a successful meet-and-greet is by submitting an application first. Thanks for considering me!
HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I’ve played well with other dogs in the past, though I can be overwhelming for smaller pups. Let’s do a proper introduction to see if we’re a good fit.
HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Unknown – FOHA can cat-test me upon request.
HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
Best suited for a home with kids 12+ who understand boundaries and dog behavior.
I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Sit, lay down, paw, off — I’m eager to learn more, especially if treats are involved!
MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
I’m fully housebroken and love keeping my space comfy and clean. I also enjoy relaxing in familiar places like the adoption office.
THINGS I LIKE:
Couches, car rides, oversized balls, learning new tricks, cuddling, and spending quality time with my favorite people.
THINGS I DISLIKE:
Sudden intrusions on my space — I like to know my people are safe and may be protective in new situations. I do best with clear guidance and structure.
