Meet Brandy
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Brandy — a sweet, gentle girl with a calm and thoughtful personality. I’m a little slow to engage at first, but I show interest and warm up with kind voices and patience. I enjoy quietly exploring my surroundings, then settling in for a cozy rest (the couch is a favorite!). I’d do best in a calm, supportive home that lets me move at my own pace and build confidence.
HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I calmly walked past dogs in my kennel line and paid them no attention. I also passed a dog in the exercise yard without any reaction. I appear neutral and polite around other dogs.
HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Unknown.
HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
Unknown. Because I’m gentle and somewhat sensitive, a calm environment would be best.
I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
I know sit and respond well to gentle guidance.
MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Brandy may be hesitant about leaving her kennel and needs a bit of coaxing and reassurance, but once she’s out, she settles nicely. She whined briefly at the door when she wanted to go out or when someone left the room, showing she enjoys companionship. She rested calmly indoors and showed good manners overall.
THINGS I LIKE:
Soft squeaky toys (favorites!), gentle tug play, calm exploration, cozy places to rest, kind voices, and gentle pets. She accepts treats easily and isn’t picky — even kibble works!
THINGS I DISLIKE:
Loud noises can startle her (like doors slamming), and she may pull a bit on leash, though it’s manageable. She can be hesitant or slightly fearful when transitioning out of her run and needs a moment of reassurance.
