ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Dahlia — a 9-year-old Lab/Spaniel mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. I’m a quiet companion who just wants to be near my person. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or moving around the house, I’ll be right there with you, your loyal little shadow.

I’m house trained, crate trained, and know my basic commands like sit, stay, come, and lay down. I’m happiest in calm environments where I can soak up affection, and while I can be a little nervous in new situations, I warm up quickly with kindness and consistency. My former family says I’m probably the best dog they’ve ever had — I’ve always been easygoing, intuitive, and eager to please.

If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, and incredibly loyal friend, I might be the one for you.

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I like other dogs and tend to ignore them, but I’m just as happy as your one-and-only. I’m more into cuddles than chaos.

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Unknown — FOHA can cat-test me upon request.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I love children! I’ve lived happily with kids and enjoy their company.

I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
Sit, stay, come, lay down, crate. I’m smart, gentle, and very responsive to my people.

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Fully housetrained and crate trained. I find comfort in my crate and use it as my safe space.

THINGS I LIKE:
Being near my humans, cuddling, quiet time, soft voices, affection, zoomies when the mood strikes, and exploring safely off-leash in enclosed areas.

THINGS I DISLIKE:
Sudden changes or unfamiliar situations can make me nervous, and I may need a little time to settle in new environments. I show fear by shaking, but with reassurance, I calm down quickly.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
