Meet Brent

Hi there! My name is Brent, and I’m a gentle, affectionate, and fun-loving brindle boy who’s ready to find my forever family. Can you believe I spent 2 ½ years in a shelter before landing in my amazing foster home? I don’t know how I did it either, but I sure am glad to be here. Even better, my foster family says I fit right in from day one — I guess you could say I’m a fast learner!

I live with four other dogs, and they’ve taught me all the important house rules. I’m completely housetrained (only two accidents at the start — not bad, right?), I sleep soundly through the night, and I know the “sit” and “climb” commands. Oh, and I’m super polite when taking treats. My foster family says I’m incredibly well-mannered, quiet, and easygoing when visitors come by. Honestly, I just love people and other dogs, and I can’t wait to meet my forever pack!

One thing my foster family is especially amazed by is my good behavior with chewing things I shouldn’t. Every dog before me has chewed the corners of the cedar chest in the living room — but not me! I found some Nyla-Bone toys a week after I arrived, and I’ve been happily chewing those ever since. Sharing? No problem! I’ve never guarded my toys, food, or bed. My foster family says that’s just who I am — a calm and easygoing guy who’s happy to get along with everyone.

I’ve even made my foster parents think about adopting me themselves even with four other dogs in our home  — that’s how special I am! But they know there’s a family out there who’s going to love me just as much as they do, and I can’t wait to meet them.

So, what’s the catch? Well, I’m still working on feeling totally comfortable on a leash. I can walk about a mile now, keeping a steady, relaxed pace. I sometimes tuck my tail when I hear loud noises like cars with booming music. But don’t worry — I stay calm and never pull on the leash. Because I’m still getting used to leash walks, I’ll need a fenced yard where I can do my business and run around freely.

If you have a fun-loving dog who enjoys playtime and zoomies in the yard, I’d love to join your family. Add in some belly rubs, ear scratches, and lots of love, and I know I’ll thrive.

Could you be the special family I’ve been waiting for? I can’t wait to meet you! ❤️
