Big-hearted goofball with serious family dog potential

🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Bud – a playful, affectionate guy who’s equal parts silly and snuggly. I absolutely love people (especially kids!), enjoy the great outdoors, and have a real zest for life. I’ve been told I’m the kind of dog who makes you laugh just by being myself.

I’m house-trained, walk well on leash (though I may pull a bit when excited), and I’m always eager to play. I’m still learning to be confident around loud vehicles – sometimes I get spooked by trucks and might dart back a bit – but I bounce back quickly and trust my people to keep me safe.

I’ve been adopted before and did great in the home, but I was a bit too playful for the resident dog who didn’t appreciate my enthusiasm. I’ve also had meet-and-greets with children and did AMAZING — I love the idea of a family to call my own!

🐶 HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I enjoy meeting other dogs and love to play, but I do best with dogs who match my energy and play style. I’d also be happy as your one-and-only best bud.

🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Unknown – FOHA can help test me if needed.

👶 HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I’ve met children during visits and was incredibly sweet and friendly. I’d love a home with active, dog-savvy kiddos to play with!

🧠 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
I know “sit,” and I’m working on perfecting other skills! I’m eager to learn and love praise.

🏠 MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
I’m house-trained and do well with structure and routine.

💖 THINGS I LOVE:
Playing fetch (even if I don’t always return the ball) • Snuggles • Walks • Car rides • Making new friends • Being part of the fun

🚫 THINGS I STRUGGLE WITH:
Loud trucks or fast-moving vehicles make me nervous — but I recover quickly with reassurance. I also don’t mesh well with dogs who prefer more personal space.

💸 ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Spay/neuter, core vaccines, 1-month Petcademy access (for training/behavior help), slip lead leash, starter food, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and any additional medical care recommended by our vet.
