Do you accept greeting card donations at your resale shop?

Greeting cards are accepted as donations as long as they're new or in very good, unused condition. Please bring them during donation hours, which are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. All donated greeting cards help raise funds to support local homeless cats and dogs through FOHA.

How do I sign up to volunteer?

Getting started is easy! Visit the FOHA Treasure Hound Volunteer Inquiry Form. Fill out your contact information and let them know about your background or areas of interest. A FOHA team member or shop coordinator will reach out to you to discuss current opportunities and next steps.

Do you offer gift cards for your resale shop?

Do you accept metal pet cages, pens, or pet gates at your donation center?

Metal pet cages, pens, and pet gates are accepted as donations, even if they are not new. They just need to be clean and in working condition. These items really help, as all proceeds from their sale go directly to support homeless dogs and cats through Friends of Homeless Animals. Donations can be dropped off Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Do you offer any kind of return or exchange policy if I buy something from your resale shop and it doesn't work out?

All sales are final. Because items are donated and proceeds support the care of homeless pets, returns or exchanges aren't offered. If you have questions about an item before buying it, feel free to ask staff for more details or take a close look in the shop to make sure it's right for you.

Do you post your latest sales and new arrivals online for your thrift store?

Sales, specials, and new arrivals are posted on social media, specifically Facebook and Instagram. Updates go out regularly so people can see what's in the shop and catch the latest deals. You can also sign up for the store newsletter to get news about events, new items, and adoptable pets.

Do you accept used furniture donations, or only smaller home goods at the resale shop?

Used furniture donations aren't accepted here, but small home goods are welcome as long as they're clean and in good condition. Donations like antiques, collectibles, art, jewelry, clothing, seasonal décor, and new pet supplies with tags can be dropped off during designated hours. All proceeds from these items help local homeless animals through Friends of Homeless Animals. If you're unsure about a particular item, it's best to call before bringing it in.

How do you price items in the resale shop, and do prices change from day to day?

Every item is priced individually based on its type, condition, and overall value; there isn't a set pricing guide. This means you might find similar items at different prices depending on their quality or uniqueness. Prices don't usually change from day to day unless there's a special sale or event happening, but new items are added daily, so the selection, and sometimes the deals, can change quickly. If you're curious about the price of a specific item, just ask a staff member in the shop.

Do you have a bell or designated entrance I should use when dropping items off at the donation center?

When dropping off donations, use the side door marked with the letter “D” and ring the bell there. A volunteer or staff member will come out to help you with your items during donation hours.

Do you accept book donations at your donation center?

Please note, we no longer accept donations of or sell books. We do welcome antiques, collectibles, art, jewelry, clothing, seasonal décor, and new pet supplies with tags, plus some small home goods. If you have questions about what else you can donate, just give us a call. All accepted donations help support local homeless pets.

Do you offer any volunteer opportunities at your charity shop?

There are volunteer opportunities for people of all ages, including teens, retirees, and community groups. Volunteers help with day-to-day shop tasks, like sorting donations, assisting customers, or keeping things organized. Helping out supports the care of homeless dogs and cats through Friends of Homeless Animals. If you're interested, you can call the shop or stop by to learn more about how you can get involved.

What kind of donations do you take?

We take antiques, collectibles, art, jewelry, clothing, seasonal décor, small home goods, and new pet supplies (with tags). Metal pet cages, pens, and gates are also okay. All donated items help support a local no-kill animal shelter.
