Meet Sawyer
🌟 Meet Sawyer!
Sawyer is a beautiful orange girl with soft medium-length fur and a curious spirit that’s beginning to peek out more and more each day.
She’s still getting used to life in the FOHA catteries, so Sawyer isn’t quite ready to reveal all of her secrets just yet. But as she settles in, we’re already seeing glimpses of a thoughtful, curious cat who likes to take in the world around her at her own pace.
One of Sawyer’s favorite places is our screened-in catio, where she can enjoy the fresh air and watch everything happening outside from the safety of her perch. When she’s ready for some downtime, she’s equally happy retreating indoors to a cozy cubby for a peaceful nap.

Sawyer is still showing us who she is, and we suspect there’s much more personality waiting to emerge as she becomes comfortable. For now, she’s reminding us that some of the best relationships with cats aren’t instant—they unfold little by little as trust and confidence grow.
🏡 What I’m Looking For:
Sawyer would appreciate a home that gives her time to settle in without expecting too much too quickly. A patient family, cozy places where she can feel secure, and opportunities to safely watch and explore the world around her would be a wonderful start.
Have another cat or dog at home? Sawyer will go home as Foster with Intent to Adopt, giving everyone time to settle in and allowing you to see how Sawyer and your resident pet do together before making the adoption official.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:
Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies and FVRCP/distemper), diagnostic testing (including FIV/FeLV), any additional medical care recommended by our vet, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick prevention, and 1-month access to Petcademy for post-adoption support.
Sawyer's Medical Information
I have FIV, that's what I have but it is NOT who I AM! Please don't let that scare you away. I want you to know that FIV+ cats can and DO live long, healthy, and normal lives when given the chance. In fact, statistically, most FIV cats live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years), and much longer than cats that live outdoors (3-8 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. It's important to note that dogs, other pets, and humans are absolutely immune to FIV. The virus itself is astonishingly frail and can live outside of the body for only a few seconds. The virus is also extremely slow-acting, so it is unlikely to pose any threat to other cats in the household. I know that adopting an FIV+ cat may seem like a big responsibility, but I promise that I am worth it. I am a sweet and loving kitty who just wants a warm and safe place to call home. If you are willing to give me a chance, I promise to bring you years of joy and companionship.
