Meet Sally

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Sally, a goofy, sweet, and smart girl who’s ready to find a family of my own! I love being close to people and will happily lean in with my front half in your lap to soak up all the affection.

I already know “sit” and “down” and I’m very motivated by treats, so I’d love to keep learning new tricks with you. I enjoy fetch and bring the ball right back every time, and I’m just as happy with a calm game of tug, always dropping the toy when play stops for a treat. I’ve even tried agility equipment and had a blast with the herding ball, A-frame, and elevated walk.

Walks are one of my favorite activities. I can start out with a little pulling but settle into a calmer pace, especially once I’ve gotten my excitement out. I also love splashing in the pool, chasing leaves, and hanging out with my people for belly rubs and snuggles.

I’ve been a rockstar for things like baths and grooming, I stay calm, cooperative, and enjoy the extra attention. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who’s as eager to play as she is to cuddle, I might just be your perfect match!

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I can be dog-selective but I do well with some canine friends. I play rough and need a friendly, confident dog who can keep up.

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
No cats.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
Best suited for an adult home or possibly older, respectful kids.

MY TRAINING:
Sit, down, come, look. Learning to trade toys on cue and waiting patiently while I get my harness on! I’m eager to expand my skills!

This dog is part of FOHA’s Diamond Dog Program, which means they receive extra training support and guidance to help them succeed in a home. To learn more about the Diamond Dog Program, click here and scroll down!

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Not specified, but I’m cooperative and learning fast.

THINGS I LIKE:
Fetch • Tug games • Pool time • Walks • Agility fun • Snuggles • Belly rubs • Learning new tricks

THINGS I STRUGGLE WITH:
Nothing major — I just get excited and need a little patience and structure.
