🌟 Meet Marshall!

🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:

Marshall is a true hound through and through, happy, good-natured, and happiest when his nose is leading the way!

Previously known as Reed, Marshall was adopted and got to experience life with a family of his own. Unfortunately, when his family could no longer care for him, he found himself back at FOHA through no fault of his own. Now he’s ready to dust himself off, follow that hound nose forward, and find the family who will be his forever.

Marshall is the definition of happy-go-lucky. He loves people, loves other dogs, and approaches life with an enthusiasm that’s hard not to smile at. Take him outside and that nose immediately gets to work—there are smells to investigate, trails to follow, and important hound business to attend to!

He’s also a big fan of canine friends. Marshall enjoys lively but appropriate play, happily joining in for chasing, zoomies, and all-around dog fun. And because no proper hound experience would be complete without a soundtrack, Marshall isn’t afraid to add a little houndy vocalizing when the moment calls for it.

This sweet guy has already known what it’s like to have a home. We’d love nothing more than to see him have one again—this time for good.

🐕 HOW AM I WITH DOGS:

I love other dogs! I enjoy playful canine friends and have been happy to join in chasing, zoomies, and lively play sessions.

🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS:

Unknown, just ask my friends at FOHA about a cat test.

👶 HOW AM I WITH KIDS:

My friends at FOHA can tell you more about whether I’d be a good match for the children in your family.

🎓 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:

I’m still showing everyone what I know from my previous home. One thing is certain: I’m a hound, so sometimes my nose has some pretty strong opinions about where we should go next! Continued training with plenty of positive reinforcement will help me keep building my skills.

🏠 MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:

I’ve previously lived in a home, but my friends at FOHA are still gathering updated information about my current housebreaking and crating habits.

⚠️ THINGS I’M WORKING ON:

Remembering that sometimes the human has a different destination in mind than my nose does • Settling back into shelter life while I wait for my next family

Marshall didn’t expect to find himself searching for a home again, but he hasn’t let that dampen his happy spirit. He’s still the same lovable hound who’s ready to sniff every trail, make friends along the way, and bring plenty of joy to the people around him.

He’s had a home before. Now let’s help Marshall find his forever one. 💛🐾

Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.
