ABOUT THIS PET

Moose is the king of fetch! He brings the ball right back, drops it at your feet, and backs away ready for the next throw. He’ll play fetch for as long as you are willing to throw. He also loves long walks, swimming, and riding in the back seat of the car with his nose out the window. His owner surrendered Moose and his sister, Misty, to FOHA because of a housing situation they could not avoid.

HOUSEHOLD FIT

Moose has lived with other dogs and played well with dogs at the shelter. He tries to chase squirrels and rabbits on walks, and would do best in a home without cats. He has done well with children, but he takes treats rough and may not be a good match for smaller children.

TRAINING

Moose knows sit, down, paw, spin, and touch, and is learning stay. He walks at a steady pace without pulling and keeps an eye on you. He has been house-trained in the past, and tends to hold his potty needs until leaving his kennel.

GOOD TO KNOW

Moose takes treats fast and a little rough and a trainer is working with him on that. He likes to eat in peace and may grumble if someone reaches toward his bowl or chews.

Moose is eligible for the FOHA Senior Care Plan: FOHA waives his adoption fee and reimburses up to $1,500 in qualifying medical expenses or pet insurance premiums, to help cover unexpected costs. Moose is supported by a grant from the Aldielawn Fund for senior dogs.
