Meet Abba
🌟 Meet ABBA!
🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Mamma Mia, here we go again—another sweet hound ready to steal some hearts! ABBA is a friendly, confident, and independent girl who believes there is an entire world out there waiting to be sniffed, explored, and thoroughly investigated.
ABBA is naturally curious and loves taking her time checking out her surroundings. When she explored the adoption office and yard, she happily wandered around following her nose, investigating every corner, and keeping an eye out for any treats or mysterious crumbs someone may have forgotten. She’s content to do her own thing but will circle back periodically to check in and see what you’re up to.
While ABBA isn’t currently the type to demand constant affection, she’s comfortable receiving gentle pets and enjoys being near her people while maintaining a little independence. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be attached to your hip to enjoy your company. Give her an interesting place to explore, and she’ll happily entertain herself before coming back to see what you’ve been doing.
ABBA has also been calm around the dogs she’s encountered, walking past without much concern or excitement. She confidently explores new spaces and is easy to handle on her outings. And while she may be a hound, her treat-finding skills could apparently use some work—toss a snack her way and there’s a decent chance she’ll need a little help locating it!
Sweet, curious, and delightfully nosy, ABBA would be a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a dog with an independent spirit. She’s ready to explore her next chapter, and this Dancing Queen is hoping it leads straight to a forever home.
🐕 HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
I’ve been calm around the dogs I’ve encountered and have walked past them without showing much interest. My friends at FOHA can schedule a dog introduction if you have another dog at home.
🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS:
Unknown — just ask my friends at FOHA to conduct a cat test.
👶 HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
I have been in foster care with children (9, 11, and 14) and done well — we recommend slow introductions to help everyone feel comfortable.
🎓 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
I’m still learning and could benefit from continued training. I enjoy treats, even if I’m not always particularly talented at finding them when they’re tossed!
🏠 MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
Unsure at this time. I spent time exploring the adoption office without any observed accidents or marking.
💖 THINGS I LIKE:
Exploring, sniffing, investigating everything, searching for snacks, treats, checking in with my people, and having the freedom to follow my curious nose.
⚠️ THINGS I DISLIKE:
Nothing notable so far! I’m an independent girl who seems happiest when I’m given the opportunity to explore the world at my own pace.
