After more than a year at the shelter, countless walks, play sessions, and car rides to foster homes, Happy finally found what he’d been waiting for: a forever family to call his own.
Happy was a favorite among FOHA staff and volunteers, everyone who met him saw the loving, goofy dog beneath his nervous energy. He spent time in several foster homes, each one helping him learn, grow, and come closer to being ready for adoption. Still, the right match seemed just out of reach… until one family saw his potential and gave him the chance he deserved.
With help from his incredible foster, who arranged multiple meet-and-greets, and FOHA’s dedicated behavior team, Happy’s adopters were set up for success from the start. Personalized one-on-one training helped everyone feel confident and prepared to welcome Happy home for good.
And home is exactly where Happy belongs.
These days, Happy enjoys long walks with his new family, snuggles on the couch with his two small human siblings, and, in a truly heartwarming twist, plays in the fenced backyard that his family built just for him.
Thank you to every person who walked him, fostered him, shared his story, and cheered him on. And most of all, thank you to the family who opened both their hearts and their home.
This is truly one HAPPY tail
