Meet Leo

All of my adoption fee has been covered by generous donors!

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hey there, I’m Leo, and let me tell you, life’s a ball when you’re with me! I’ll entertain you with my goofy antics and playful spirit. I’m a smart cookie who loves treats and uses them to show off my cleverness. I’m also a pro at snuggling and giving kisses—there’s nothing better than hugs with my favorite humans. I dream of a cozy home with a fenced-in yard (at least 6 feet tall because I’m quite the climber!) where I can run, play, and be carefree. I prefer smaller gatherings over big crowds and would thrive in a low-stress, quiet neighborhood. With some training and lots of love, I’ll be the loyal, fun-loving companion you’ve been waiting for.

I’m so excited to meet my potential new family! To make sure we have the best first impression, I’d feel most comfortable meeting new people with one of my friends (a FOHA staff or volunteer) by my side. The best way to set up a successful meet-and-greet is by submitting an application first. Thanks for considering me!

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
Dog selective — I do well with some canine friends, but I play rough and need a confident dog who can keep up.

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
No cats!

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
No kids, please!

MY TRAINING:
I know “sit,” “stay,” and “come” in the play yard and will stop on command for treats while walking.

This dog is part of FOHA’s Diamond Dog Program, which means they receive extra training support and guidance to help them succeed in a home. To learn more about the Diamond Dog Program, click here and scroll down!

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
House-trained and crate trained.

THINGS I LIKE:
Long walks, car rides, visits to Wendy’s, running in the play yard, playing tug and lounging in the sandbox at FOHA!

THINGS I STRUGGLE WITH:
Meeting new people, especially when I’m on leash. Wildlife like deer or rabbits. I can be mouthy and jumpy at first but calm down once outside.
