Meet Craig

Hello, my name is Craig, and I’m here to share my journey with you. Life has presented me with some challenges, but my resilient spirit and loving nature have carried me through.

One night, a kind-hearted rescuer heard my desperate meows outside their door. You see, there’s been an ongoing issue with cars on the road near where they live, and unfortunately, I fell victim to it. I was trapped, scared, and in need of help.

But let me tell you, once you get to know me, you’ll find that I am an absolute sweetheart. Despite the hardships I’ve faced, my heart is filled with love and affection for those around me.

I’m around 2 to 3 years old, although the paperwork may say I’m 5. You see, they didn’t realize I had FIV until after making the initial estimate. Nevertheless, age is just a number, and what truly matters is the love and joy I can bring to your life.

I’ve already taken care of some important health matters. I was neutered on April 21, and I’ve received my rabies and distemper vaccines, ensuring that I’m up to date with my immunizations. I also received treatment for ear mites and a bacterial infection, so you can rest assured that I’m on the path to a healthier future.

Now, I’m in search of a loving home where I can truly belong. A place where I can feel safe, cherished, and valued for the remarkable companion that I am. Despite my past experiences, I haven’t lost faith in humanity. I still believe that there are wonderful people out there who will open their hearts to a deserving feline like me.

If you’re looking for a companion who will shower you with unconditional love and affection, I’m here, eagerly waiting to embark on a new chapter of my life with you. Together, we can create beautiful memories, share heartwarming moments, and build a bond that will last a lifetime.

So, please consider opening your heart and home to me, Craig. I promise to be your forever friend, always there to bring warmth, comfort, and endless love to your life. Let’s embark on this journey together and create a beautiful story of love and companionship.

Craig's Medical Information

There is something else that I want to share with you. I have FIV, that’s what I have but it is NOT who I AM! Please don’t let that scare you away.   I want you to know that FIV+ cats can and DO live long, healthy, and normal lives when given the chance. In fact, statistically, most FIV cats live as long as their indoor counterparts (13-18 years), and much longer than cats that live outdoors (3-8 years). There are many reported cases where FIV+ cats live well into old age without ever showing any symptoms. It’s important to note that dogs, other pets, and humans are absolutely immune to FIV. The virus itself is astonishingly frail and can live outside of the body for only a few seconds. The virus is also extremely slow-acting, so it is unlikely to pose any threat to other cats in the household.   I am a sweet and loving kitty who just wants a warm and safe place to call home. If you are willing to give me a chance, I promise to bring you years of joy and companionship. So please come and meet me, and see for yourself that FIV+ cats are just as wonderful and deserving of love as any other cat.   Read more about FIV at https://www.fivcatrescue.org/
